This chart might help provide please don't tell me how sketchy they are. However, what about underlying price drivers that aren't on the list. It looks like, depending on the commodity/security, CFTC regulation may be required. The binary options community of course makes it seem like nothing has changed and the government seems to have made it particularly find a straight answer buried in legalese.
Now it looks trading is legal but I can't find a straight answer about exchanges.
I'm referring specifically hosting an exchange - no brokerage.īinary options fall under OTC derivatives which used to be completely unregulated pre-Dodd Frank. It looks like the government has allowed two to register, but they appear to be broker-dealers. I can't tell if hosting a binary exchange is legal in the US.
